Unfunny Kath & Kim

The consoling fact about the revelation that some two million people switch on to watch Kath & Kim on a Sunday night is that this means 18 million people have the good sense NOT to watch this lamentable pretence at humour.

Hey there is something for everyone !! Personally, I know many people who remind me of Kel, of sharon, of Kath and Kim and Bretty………sadly, I cant watch it………I’m hooked on Australian idol, I love to see the passion displayed, not to mention the talent. weather or not I agree with the rest of it, is irrelevant. But, I’m sure, I’ll catch reruns of Kath and kim to take me away from reality.

I missed the 1st episode, but have to say I was disappointed with the one last night. I won’t make judgment yet, but I hope that selling out to product placement on commercial tele isn’t their death nell.

I like it but some of the gags are very quick, like Epony Rae not using her “disposable thumbs” yet.

In case you still don’t get it she means “opposable”, i.e. the ability to grip.

One of my favorite lines is when Kimmy once said…….Oh Epony stop whinging, its mummy’s turn !!

All I can say is “Thank God it’s not on ABC anymore”

It’s a very well put together show I think. I captures the traits of a lot of aussies here in VIC and elsewhere around this country hehe. I know some people who are so much like the characters of the show in real life that they think Kath & Kim is a drama. :)

The costumes alone or should I say the 70’s and 80’s’ clothes they pull out are amazingly funny. I watch and remember in embarrassment sometimes lol.

Sometimes I have to be in the mood for it though, like Monty Python stuff but in general it’s not a bad show.

Comparing Kath&Kim with Monty Python is like comparing gnat’s wee with Veuve Cliquot.

Inhabiting a parallel universe and walking to the beat of a different drum, I observe the machinations and misdemeanours of life in this funny old Yarra village we call Melbourne.
